About The Eye Scene

“At The Eye Scene I have created a haven; a beautiful boutique space which has more in common with an art gallery than an optical storefront. This is how important I believe it is to find the right glasses for you. I absolutely love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else.”

Lindy Goodman

Owner/Optical Dispenser

A qualified dispenser for almost 30 years, Lindy is so much more… She is the heart and soul of The Eye Scene. She is determined to educate people that eyewear is so much more than a practical accessory. To Lindy, eyewear is a statement and one piece is never enough to suit any and all occasions. For this reason, The Eye Scene stocks thousands of pairs of glasses at any given time with new stock arriving every three months.

Opening The Eye Scene in 2003, Lindy has continued to serve Sydney’s Double Bay and surrounds with unique, stylish, fashionable, boutique eyewear. Lindy is consistently researching, building relationships with suppliers, attending trade shows and keeping abreast of the market. Travelling overseas on regular buying trips, Lindy ensures that her clients can select from the very best eyewear available anywhere in the world.

‘I buy every single pair of glasses with someone in mind. Whether that’s because they are colourful, different, unique or special. Eyewear is the very first thing people will notice about you (not your shoes) so you must get it right.

At The Eye Scene I have created a haven… a beautiful boutique space which has more in common with an art gallery than an optical storefront. This is how important I believe it is to find the right glasses for you. I absolutely love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else.’
